YOU GET
A FAIR CHANCE

At Working Fields, we judge people on their potential, not their past. We partner with local businesses across more than a dozen industries to give you the chance you deserve.

HOW IT WORKS

Start your career at a local business with a job opportunity from Working Fields.

1

INTAKE INTERVIEW

We meet and get to know each other. We review your work experience and goals. If anything is impacting your job search, like bus routes, past convictions, recovery support, or other challenges, we talk honestly about it.
2

JOB SUBMISSION

We identify jobs based on your criteria. When we find a good match, we submit you as a candidate directly to our employer partner. You enter the hiring process.

3

JOB BEGINS

When hired, you are an employee of Working Fields on an assignment at a local business. This assignment could be temporary or temp-to-hire, with the opportunity to become a permanent position. You receive a weekly paycheck during your assignment, with multiple payment methods available.
4

ONGOING SUPPORT

As our employee, you have access to supplemental services, including weekly peer coaching. Coaches and staff work closely with community organizations to provide resources like housing, healthcare, basic needs, and childcare. In some counties, we also offer transportation to and from work.

5

CAREER OPPORTUNTIES

Your assignment may turn into permanent employment with the business. If it’s not the right fit, you can continue as a Working Fields employee and try another assignment.
