HOW DO I REFER TO WORKING FIELDS?

Dec 12, 2022
Working Fields is a mission-driven staffing agency that works with any jobseeker. We place people in jobs with local employers, and offer resources like peer coaching and transportation to help address barriers to employment.

If you’re a case manager, friend or family member, recovery coach, employer, or community member, you can refer a jobseeker to Working Fields by:

  1. Filling out this form
  2. Calling (802) 348-4610
  3. Emailing secondchances@workingfields.com

Who can we work with?

We work with anyone, and our program is free. Eligible candidates are over 16 and legally authorized to work in the United States.

We provide employment that comes with a built-in peer support system, to help each person achieve their individual goals. We have worked with people who are:
  • Homeless or housing insecure
  • In recovery
  • On disability
  • New to the area
  • Coming out of incarceration or on parole
  • Transitioning into a new career
  • And much more.

What happens when you refer someone?

We'll connect with the person you've referred to set up an introductory meeting. From there, we will work to find them a job placement and connect them to a peer coach.

You can also include your information — we are a community-driven organization and often co-case manage.

What types of jobs are available?

We are always hiring! We have several dozen jobs available at competitive pay across industries like admin, food service, healthcare, janitorial, nonprofits, manufacturing, construction and warehousing in Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Candidates are free to move between different Working Fields positions until they find the right fit.

We vet our employers to ensure a safe, accepting environment. These partners include UVM Health Network, Rhino Foods, Dynapower, Schlotterbeck & Foss, Casella and Darn Tough.
