Meet Kim! Kim is one of our valued Working Fields peer coaches serving our Chittenden and Addison County region. Every jobseeker at Working Fields is paired with a peer coach to help them achieve their goals and build stability. All our peer coaches are trained in strengths-based skills, are experts in local resources, and have their own lived experience overcoming barriers. Using her personal experiences, Kim provides guidance and support for those starting a new job and rebuilding their lives.

“The most fulfilling aspect of my role as a peer coach with Working Fields is the opportunity to empower individuals and help them realize their full potential,” said Kim. “I derive great satisfaction from assisting individuals in early recovery by guiding them in developing personalized recovery plans. Additionally, I find it rewarding to support individuals in overcoming barriers to employment and providing encouragement and motivation throughout their journey.”

Kim understands the significance of having someone who has been through similar struggles. “During my recovery journey, I met someone who had been through what I had been through and understood me in a way no one else could,” Kim said. “They listened to me without judgment, validated my feelings, encouraged me to believe in myself, and shared their own story of recovery with me. They inspired me to hope again and to see that there was a way out of the dark."

Kim provides a supportive, non-judgmental space where associates can share their challenges and triumphs. Her dedication helps individuals move beyond their past and build a promising future.
