Giving Back: Moving Forward

Our primary aim is to support people with barriers to employment. Some of our Associates have criminal histories, which can be a very difficult barrier to overcome. Many of our Associates with criminal records have been rejected several times after filing job applications due to their past offenses, which often makes them lose confidence. We work with employers to remove that potential barrier.”
- Mickey Wiles, Working Fields Founder & CEO

Language Matters Guide

One of our core values at Working Fields is equity and we agree with Jobs for the Future (JFF) that the language we use can "educate, empower, and drive positive change."

Take a look through this Language Matters Guide from JFF focused on how to "write and speak about people in ways that promote equity, dignity, and a focus on each individual's potential—rather than labeling them based on the systemic barriers they face."
