A Message from the Founder: Working Fields to Discontinue Operations

After nine years of unwavering commitment to helping individuals overcome barriers to employment, Working Fields is closing its doors.

Since our founding, we’ve had the privilege of placing over 2,500 individuals into meaningful employment. But our impact extended far beyond job placements—we offered critical support through a passionate Account Management team and our dedicated Peer Coaches, walking alongside our jobseekers every step of the way.

Despite our mission and momentum, we’ve come to the difficult conclusion that we can no longer sustain operations due to financial constraints. As the Founder, this is a heartbreaking moment. I’ve seen firsthand how vital our services have been—not just for the individuals we placed on assignments, but for the employers who believed in second chances, and for the referring partners who entrusted us with their clients.

In looking ahead, we are committed to a smooth transition. We are recommending First Step Staffing, a well-established, mission-driven nonprofit staffing agency with a proven national track record. With this recommendation of First Step to our employer partners we are confident in their ability to continue the work we’ve started and serve both employers and associates with integrity and care.

To everyone who supported Working Fields over the past nine years—thank you. Your belief in our mission allowed us to build something powerful and deeply human. I am especially grateful to the extraordinary team at Working Fields. Every person who worked here brought passion, purpose, and an unshakable commitment to this work. They are the true heroes behind everything we achieved.

While Working Fields will no longer operate, my personal commitment to this mission remains strong. This work is a part of who I am, and I will continue to support it in new ways moving forward.

With deep gratitude,
Mickey Wiles
